Christmas Fair with Exclusively Highlands

Description: Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit to Fyvie Castle for the Christmas Fair. As ever we will have the castle all decorated beautifully ready for the holidays on the Saturday and Sunday. We will have carol singers, (non alcoholic) mulled wine, and of course a visit from the man himself, St Nick!! I know, we can’t believe we’ve got him for a whole weekend this year again! Please note, we don’t have Santa on Friday, he is too busy that day!
As an added treat this year we have Exclusively Highlands bringing their wonderful arts, crafts, and food on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They will be all through the castle and in the Racquets Court. The house will be positively brimming with wonderful treats for the that special someone or just yourself, because, you know what? You deserve it to!
Of course the tearoom and castle shop will be open throughout the three days.
As an added bonus we will also have appearances by the miniature donkeys from Jenny’s Donkeys on the Saturday and Sunday!
Admission is £4 for adults and £4 for wee ones. Tickets can be bought online beforehand or on the door.

Etsy Made Local is a national initiative celebrating the crafters, collectors and artisans in local communities across the UK. Banchory Christmas Fayre

This is a fundraiser for the Banchory Edge youth groups mission trip to Seattle next summer. On this trip they will be visiting Union Church and getting involved in community projects with the homeless, refugees and generally being extra hands where needed. Emersing themselves in a new place and cultures. All entry donations and money spent at youth stalls will be going towards this trip.

Junior Club Christmas Capers

Description: We will be making Christmas tree decorations for every horse and pony at Belwade Farm to add some extra sparkle to the Junior Club Christmas Tree! If you would like to leave them a special treat this Christmas, you can bring a carrot along and leave it in our carrot collection point for their Christmas dinner. You will also have the opportunity to meet some of the horses and ponies on the farm.
A parent or guardian will be required to remain on the farm throughout each of the sessions. This activity will cost £2 per child to take part.

Following the success of our first whittling session last week, we’ll be holding another one on Sunday 3rd December. It won’t be a taught session (although sharing of ideas and expertise will be welcomed) – just an opportunity to sit around the fire, work on your own project and chat with like-minded people.
If you have your own tools, please bring them along. We do have a limited supply of sheath knives and folding saws – please let us know in advance if you would like to borrow any of these.
You may also wish to bring along something to sit on and hot drinks/snacks.
Everyone is welcome, although we would ask that children are accompanied (and supervised) by an adult.

Description: Kids at Ferryhill are holding a wreath making night! No experience is necessary as full tuition will be given. You will learn how to make a basic festive wreath which you’ll be able to take home with you.
You will be given a plain Noble Fir wreath base and shown how to decorate it using cones, dried fruit, cinnamon sticks and ribbons, however please feel free to bring along any other items you’d like to use to tie in with your own Christmas decor.
Spaces are £22 per person and are very limited, on a first come, first served basis so book quickly!

Please bring:
-An apron to protect your clothing
-Wire snips/cutters would be helpful if you have them
-A bottle to help you get in the festive spirit! Nibbles will be provided.
-Any additional items (baubles, decorations, ribbon etc) to decorate your wreath.
