Old Aberdeen’s Architectural Secrets

Bishop Elphinstone was the founder of Kings College, little did he know at the end of the 15th century that many centuries of building of both sacred and secular kinds would rise up around his new university, and that the Protestant troops of General Monck would destroy St Machar Cathedral with their scavenging for stones to build up their hastily-planned fort on Castlehill in the New Town. For anyone who ever wondered ‘if walls could talk…’!

Lizzie’s Tea Party for Diabetes 2018

Description: Lizzie’s annual tea party on the green in aid of the InDependent Diabetes Trust Dream Trust, which supports children in developing countries with Type 1 diabetes.

If weather really poor this event will move to the Victoria and Albert Halls.

BodyFIT for Mums FREE TASTER Session

Description: Coastal Play is a children’s soft play area for children aged toddler to 10 (height restrictions will apply and take precedence over age).
We provide a huge play area that includes 2 Bouncy Castles, one with slide, Soft Play Pods & Shapes, plus Bouncers, Inflatable Pitch and toddler area. It’s a great space for running around and letting off some steam – especially when the weather outside’s not so nice!
Coastal Cafe provides a seating area where parents can see children at all times while enjoying a coffee and snack.

We will also have been having various crafts for children on the day provided by the North East Ranger Service such as paint a pot and plant it with sunflower seeds, then watch them grow throughout the summer; make some cress animals and take a walk around our butterfly trail.
