Coastal Play

Description: Coastal Play is a children’s soft play area for children aged toddler to 10 (height restrictions will apply and take precedence over age).
We provide a huge play area that includes 2 Bouncy Castles, one with slide, Soft Play Pods & Shapes, plus Bouncers, Inflatable Pitch and toddler area.
It’s a great space for running around and letting off some steam – especially when the weather outside’s not so nice!Coastal Café provides a seating area where parents can see children at all times while enjoying a coffee and snack.

Virtual Reality Day with Google

Description: Join us for a day of Virtual Reality exploration with Google Education!Explore the Solar System, Great Barrier Reef, walk with dinosaurs, take a tour of the International Space Station, and experience what it’s like to be a civil engineer in these immersive experiences! All these experiences are available throughout the day!
PLEASE NOTE: due to the nature of the experience these are recommended for 7 YEARS AND OLDER.
During the day we’ll also have a windfarm virtual reality experience available for visitors thanks to the EOWDC.
This is a drop-in day with sign up for experiences once you turn up (to ensure you get a chance to properly explore and be given a guided tour). Each experience lasts for 10 minutes.

Close and Calm’s Bridge of Don Baby Carrier Drop In Session
Where: St. Columba’s Church, Braehead Way, Bridge of Don, Aberdeen
Date: Friday 17th February
Time: 9.15am – 10.30am
Price: We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees but will serve you tea, coffee and yummy cakes in exchange.
Description: We’re really looking forward to our monthly baby carrier / sling meet in Bridge of Don! This will be held one Friday morning a month, from 9:15 – 10:30 at St. Columba’s Church, Braehead Way, Bridge of Don.
There will be trained baby carrying advice from Jess Hippey, owner of Close and Calm, and a sling library with a large selection of rentals available. Should you wish to go on to buy a carrier after this, please inform Jess as discount codes are available for customers.
Children, partners and family are welcome, and there is an unsupervised creche area available. We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter Lynn Miller present at most meetings, as we recognise advice and support for this is often needed too 🙂
We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch and look forward to meeting you. Our hope is to try and build an informative and supportive community so the more the merrier.
