Description: Did you know that Aberdeen is one of the best places in Europe to see bottlenose dolphins?

RSPB Scotland staff and volunteers will be at Torry Battery every Thursday – Sunday, from 11am – 6pm until 20 August to help you to witness the dolphins spectacular displays and learn more about Aberdeen’s amazing coastal wildlife!

The Dolphinwatch team will provide information, binoculars and various drop-in activities for families. Keep an eye out for special additional events such as guided walks, rockpool rambles and beach cleans.

Beach Front Play!

Description: Friday mornings will take place on the beach front – in the section with the large access ramp (3 sections to the left if coming from the Beach Leisure Centre; directly opposite the foot underpass); in the event of high tides or extreme wind conditions the session will be moved to the Beach Play Park.

At Aberdeen Play Forum we run play sessions in parks and green spaces around the city during school holidays. We provide our loose parts kit for children and families to play with.

Grampian Forest Rally – Ceremonial Start and Finish

Description: We are delighted to announce that Crathes Castle, Garden & Estate will be hosting the ceremonial start and finish of the Grampian Forest Rally 2017.

We will also have a classic car display on the front lawn throughout the day.

All welcome to view upwards of 100 participating vehicles.

Key timings: Cars flagged off 9.00am to 10.30am

Coastal Play

Description: Coastal Play is a children’s soft play area for children aged toddler to 10 (height restrictions will apply and take precedence over age).

We provide a huge play area that includes 2 Bouncy Castles, one with slide, Soft Play Pods & Shapes, plus Bouncers, Inflatable Pitch and toddler area. It’s a great space for running around and letting off some steam – especially when the weather outside’s not so nice!

Coastal Cafe provides a seating area where parents can see children at all times while enjoying a coffee and snack.

Comic drawing workshop

Description: We are in love with Roller Girl, an excellent graphic novel for young readers and it has inspired us to make our own comic strip! So if there are any budding comic book artists around we invite them to a comic drawing workshop where we’ll create our own roller derby team and get some tips for writing comic strips!

The workshop will start at 11am in the Children’s department and will last for an hour.

Haddo Summer Fair featuring Little mix tribute band!

Description: Let’s celebrate summer with a day packed with fun!

kids can have a go at the bouncy castles, Gladiator Duels and obstacle course. There will be a toddler area containing soft play and ball pool and the adults can have a go at our Adult Bouncy castle!

And to top it up we have brought a great Little Mix Tribute band with a a jam – packed set ready to wow audiences with outstanding vocals and slick dance routines. This fantastic tribute act brings together harmonies and high-energy dance routines. The show features all of Little Mix current hits as well as some of their X Factor performances.

Red Kite Fun Day

Description: Join RSPB Scotland staff and volunteers to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of red kites being reintroduced to Aberdeenshire. We’ll be at the Cullerlie Stone Circle near Garlogie with binoculars and telescopes to look for red kites in their natural habitat and share information about these amazing birds of prey.

We’ll also have a life-sized red kite nest as well as lots of arts & crafts activities for families, including the opportunity to make a paper kite to fly and take home!

Illyria – The Mikado

Build Your Own World War One Trench
