October Bridge of Don Drop In Session

Description: There will be trained baby carrying advice from Jess Hippey, owner of Close and Calm, and a sling library with a large selection of rentals available. Should you wish to go on to buy a carrier after this, please inform Jess as discount codes are available for customers.
We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees but will serve you tea, coffee and yummy cakes in exchange. Children, partners and family are welcome, and there is an unsupervised creche area available.
We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter Lynn Miller present at most meetings, as we recognise advice and support for this is often needed too 🙂
We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch and look forward to meeting you. Our hope is to try and build an informative and supportive community so the more the merrier.

Description: Do you know the difference between a Chanterelle and a Cortinarius limonius? One is delicious to eat and the other may make you ill.
You can learn how to recognize mushrooms and fungi that you can collect and eat for free. Come and walk our mushroom trail and spot the good, the bad and the ugly.
Make a spoor print card and create and decorate your very own mushroom. Finally get to taste some wild Chanterelles cooked by our Chef in our Bistro and see how tasty they are.
Just a word of warning never pick mushrooms or fungus unless you know what you are doing.

On completion of these terrifying tasks you’ll need to ‘guise’ to claim your prize! Sing a song or tell a joke in order to collect your prize!
Here at Crathes, The Stoats Creepy Crawl will take place on Halloween Weekend in the grounds of the estate!

Greeted by your host you will be welcomed into the Halloween House. But oh no! There are supernatural forces at work here, you must complete tasks to escape the House! Who will you meet on your journey? Will you be able to help the ghoulish ghost with his dance moves? Can you help the witch cast her magic spells? See if you can help the forgetful fairy find her magic potions! Will you escape the Haunted House!?
Tickets: £6 per person attending regardless of age (A responsible person must acompany the children at all times, we ask a minimum of 1 adult per 2 children. Please take this into account when booking as adults will also need tickets to get in.)
