RSPB Dolphinwatch
Organiser: RSPB Aberdeen and North East Scotland

Description: Did you know that Aberdeen is one of the best places in Europe to see bottlenose dolphins?
RSPB Scotland staff and volunteers will be at Torry Battery every Thursday – Sunday, from 11am – 6pm until 20 August to help you to witness the dolphins’ spectacular displays and learn more about Aberdeen’s amazing coastal wildlife!
The Dolphinwatch team will provide information, binoculars and various drop-in activities for families. Keep an eye out for special additional events such as guided walks, rockpool rambles and beach cleans.

Morning Feed & Dog Farm Walk

Description: As part of our Morning Feed week we are welcoming you and your dogs to join us for a guided farm walk.
As well as the stunning scenery that you can enjoy along the way you will have the opportunity to ask our staff questions about the charity, Belwade Farm and the horses and ponies currently in our care.
The walk will leave the visitor center car park at 11am prompt and will take about 40 minutes.
You can then enjoy your well-earned Morning Feed on our dog friendly decking area. This includes filter coffee/tea or diluting juice and choice of cake/bake from our morning feed menu.
Total cost is £6.50 per adult and £4.50 per child.

Armed Forces Day

Relax Kids is a fun 7 step programme taking children on a journey starting with games, working through breath work, massage, affirmations and relaxation. The classes build self confidence, develop good mental health, build emotional resilience, help manage anger anxiety and stress and ultimately allow children to feel more in control of their emotions and happier.
The 7 steps can be adapted to suit a wide variety of needs and situations. For me what I love is it gives children an opportunity to develop their emotional literacy and gives them a means to communicate feelings, a space to relax and escape using their imaginations.

Flowers and Fruit (Gardening4Kids)

Description: Gardening4kids classes are held in Aberdeen Science Centre’s activity garden on a monthly basis. If you’re looking for a more outdoor activity for the kids Gardening4kids offers sessions suitable primary school aged children!
Each activity lasts an hour and gardening equipment and resources are provided. The children always get something to take home with them at the end of the class so this is a great way to encourage them to explore the outdoors in a safe environment.
On 24 June the class will explore flowers and fruit. Spaces can be booked through the Gardening4Kids website.

Ellon Police Office Open Day 2017

Description: We are pleased to advise that the Ellon police office open day, which had been due to be held last month, will be taking place this Saturday (24th June) from 2.00pm until 4.30pm.
Officers will look forward to welcoming the public into the station on Bridge Street where they will have the opportunity to meet with local officers and hear about the work of specialist departments and as well as being able to tour the station, see the cells and have their fingerprints taken.
The Ellon open day is held in conjuction with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service who will have the Ellon fire station open, and it is a great opportunity to engage with some of our local staff and see how varied the life of a police officer can be.
