Coastal Play

Description: Coastal Play is a children’s soft play area for children aged toddler to 10 (height restrictions will apply and take precedence over age).

 We provide a huge play area that includes 2 Bouncy Castles, one with slide, Soft Play Pods & Shapes, plus Bouncers, Inflatable Pitch and toddler area. It’s a great space for running around and letting off some steam – especially when the weather outside’s not so nice!

 Coastal Cafe provides a seating area where parents can see children at all times while enjoying a coffee and snack.

Little Explorer Day: Colour, Light & All Things Bright

Deeside Line Tidy Up 

Organiser: Aberdeen City Council Countryside Ranger Service

Where: Deeside Railway Line 

Date:  Saturday 16th February 2019 Time:  10:00AM-01:00PM

Description: The Deeside Line, from Duthie Park to the Western boundary of the city, is our longest site. Join the Countryside Rangers to help keep the Line clear of overhanging and obstructive trees and shrubs, by coming on the event from either Duthie Park.  We’ll look out for wildlife on the way and you’ll be rewarded with hot drinks and biscuits.

Meet at the Duthie Park Winter Gardens entrance.  First Bus 17 goes to Polmuir Road..

MARVEL BREAKFAST

Bath Bomb Making Workshop for Children 

Organiser: Hearty Arts & Crafts

Description: A hands-on workshop for learning the skills and techniques of bath bomb-making, but this time for children starting age 8  (6-7y/olds allowed, if they have confidence to work independently).

This workshop will show you how to create you own beautiful product and make the process of bath-taking incredibly enjoyable. You will choose from a variety of fragrances and dyes to create your very own bath bomb range.

Introduction to bath bomb making

Overview of the different oils, salts, dyes, and fragrances

Demonstration of different bath bomb-making techniques

Using individual moulds, add dyes, fragrance oils and additives to make your own masterpiece.

Everyone takes their beautiful self-made range of bath bombs home (up to 5 products)

All materials used are suitable for vegans/vegetarian. The workshop will take approximately 1.5- 2 hours. Please make sure you arrive at 10-15 minutes in advance, as to avoid the start of the workshop at your absence. We also kindly advice to bring some tray, box or bags to carry away your newly-made bath bombs securely. 😉

All art and craft workshops presented by RA will be provided with consideration of therapeutic art approach.

Therapeutic art can be described as creative and expressive form of therapy. The therapeutic creative process of self-expression can improve one’s physical and mental health. It will also make an impact on our emotional well-being.

Creating art through Therapeutic Art provides an outlet to express oneself freely, which will encourage and promote healthier and happier life.

Saturday Skills Session

Description: This special three-hour Saturday session provides the ideal opportunity for children age 6+ to work on specific skills and movements, under the guidance of our experienced ETKO instructors. Held in the early evening, the session will take place in our purpose-built gymnasium where participants will have access to our range of competition-standard apparatus. The timing of the session (from 5.30-8.30pm) also gives parents/carers the perfect chance to pop out for a post-Valentine’s Day romantic meal! Our Saturday skills session is open to existing members and newcomers (including those or on our waiting lists) who are keen to experience our gym and teaching environment.

Big Kids’ Ball 2019

Description: We are delighted to announce the theme for our Big Kids Ball 2019 is Peter Pan! It promises to be a night full of fun and pixie dust, all for a great cause.

The ball will be held at Mercure Aberdeen Ardoe House Hotel & Spa on Friday 22 February.

Tables of 10 are available at a cost of £950 and individual tickets are £95. Included are a delicious 3 course dinner, games, prizes, a raffle and auction, as well as dancing to live music from the wonderful Silver City Soul Revue The money raised from the ball will help provide 1:1 befriending and mentoring services to local children who are missing out on their childhood.
