The 2nd Haven Wellbeing Festival!
Organiser: The Haven in Stonehaven
Where: The Haven in Stonehaven, 3 Market Square Buildings, AB392BY Stonehaven
Date: Friday 15th March 2019 Time: 03:00PM-06:00PM
Description: We are so excited to bring the 2nd Haven Wellbeing Festival! This provides our community with opportunities to try different wellbeing skills that help nurture a happy healthy mind, body and spirit.
Everyone who offers these opportunities at The Haven donates their time and in return we ask for a donation for our Haven Wellbeing Fund. This allows us to help support and subsidise people who may want to access our services but may have challenges doing so.
Last year we raised over £1,000 which enabled us to help support The Juggling Yogi through his children’s teacher training so we could continue to offer a positive male role model for our boys yoga class. We also donated money to the 70/30 Campaign to reduce child maltreatment by 70% by 2030 and the creation of the Cross Party Group in Holyrood on the Prevention and Healing of ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) to help influence government policy. Locally we created Stonehaven Trauma Informed Community which led to the offshoot of Stonehaven Trauma Teddies. We presented our voluntary work to the K&M Communities .Look out for our window display at Stonehaven library. We also heavily subsidised counselling sessions, massage, reiki and other therapies for individuals in our community.
We hope you will help us spread the word to raise awareness, encourage, empower and support people to be curious. Most of all we want EVERYONE to know that The Haven is a safe space for them to come for wellbeing needs.
If there is a session you are interested in please contact the person holding the session as there will be limited spaces. We so look forward to welcoming you.
