There will be trained baby carrying advice from Jess Hippey, owner of Close and Calm, and a large selection of carriers and wraps available for trying and for hiring. Should you wish to go on to buy a carrier after this, please inform Jess as discount codes are available for customers.
We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees. Children are always welcome.
We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter present at most meetings.
We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch and look forward to meeting you. Our hope is to try and build an informative and supportive community so the more the merrier.
You’re also always welcome to bring your own carriers for help too.

Chapelton Bike Ride & 5k Walk

Description: The Chapelton bike Ride & 5k walk will return for its third year, which has raised over £14,000 since its launch in 2016, for North East Sensory Services (NESS). The event returns to the village of Chapelton, near Newtonhill, and promises a day of fun for all the family.
Sponsored by Burness Paull, the event has something for all ages and abilities, with the choice of either 42-mile and 12-mile bike routes for cyclists.
Families can take part in the 5k walk, sponsored by Brio Retirement Living, enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Elsick House.
Starting and finishing at Hume Square in Chapelton, the bike ride takes cyclists into the seaside town of Stonehaven, through Fetteresso and Durris Forests, before leading them towards Maryculter and the picturesque banks of the River Dee, then looping back round towards the characteristic village of Chapelton.
There will also be plenty of activities available for visitors and spectators, including live music from a variety of acts including R&B artist Rajiv, inflatable fun, arts and craft stalls, plus market stalls featuring delicious produce from local suppliers.
All funds raised from the event will go to North East Sensory Services, a charity that supports more than 6,500 people in the North-east with visual and hearing impairments.
Registration costs £15 per person for the 42-mile route, £5 per person for the 12-mile route, or £50 for a team of four in the 42-mile route, and £15 for a team of four for the 12-mile cycle. The 5k walk is free to enter, but all participants must register via the website.

On Sunday 2nd September, the stunning Crathes Castle grounds will provide the backdrop for CLAN at the Castle, sponsored walk & fun day and kick off our Go Purple for CLAN campaign.
Set in the extensive grounds of the 16th-century castle, CLAN will host a fun day and sponsored walk, with three different routes: The Banchory Big One (12.3 miles), The Crathes Crawl (5.7 miles) and the Milton Mile (1.25 miles). The Event Village will host a range of inflatables as well as food and drink. The day promises to offer something for everyone in the heart of the Royal Deeside countryside.

The funds raised by this event will be shared out between ARI Cystic Fibrosis Team, The Leanne fund and the Eve Rose foundation . All of which have helped Cheryl enormously through out her life with Cystic Fibrosis.
