Feel free to bring your stretchy wrap from the Scottish Baby Box as we’d love to give you a hand.
There will be trained baby carrying advice from Jess Hippey, owner of Close and Calm, and a large selection of carriers and wraps available for trying and for hiring. Should you wish to go on to buy a carrier after this, please inform Jess as discount codes are available for customers.
We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees. Children are always welcome.
We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter present at most meetings.
We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch and look forward to meeting you. Our hope is to try and build an informative and supportive community so the more the merrier.
You’re also always welcome to bring your own carriers for help too.

Dinosaurs have invaded the Crathes Castle Forest. We need your help to search and report the dinosaurs.
1) Report to the Dino-Park Base Camp for your map & instructions (Crathes Castle main Grounds)
2) Enter the Dinosaur Forest and track down all the missing Dinosaurs. Make sure to take some snaps with your smart phone or camera as evidence. (+/-1 hour forest trekking)
3) Return to base camp with your evidence to gain access to Fossil Dig site. Secure the missing fossils and dissect your finding at the fossil chipping station.
4) Complete the mission and receive your Dino Hunt Certificate.
5) Then relax with your family and friends. Enjoy all the Dino rides, games & food found at the Dino-Park base camp.

My Robotic Playground with LEGO Wedo – 8 Hours of Robotics!

Description: For children aged 7-11 years. Registration covers all eight hours of robotics.
During these very hands-on sessions, children will work together to build and program travelling robots using the Lego Wedo 2.0 kit and Scratch software. They will gain a robust understanding of how they may build a variety of mechanisms using spur gears, bevel and semi-bevel gears, and worm gears! Mechanisms include driving robots, two-legged walkers, four-legged-walkers, and a worm-geared crawler. They will also have the opportunity to customise their robots.
Each session is split into two parts with the first focusing on the mechanism(s) and the other on programming. During the second half, we will explore the Scratch software including linear and looped code, conditional statements, and parallel programming. Children will also get their on-screen animations in Scratch to interact with the robot. That’s another dimension in robotics!
Dates: Weekly from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, from 26 August to 16 September 2018.
Cost covers all eight hours of robotics.
Limited places. Sessions will only hold if minimum numbers are registered.

As British Cycling coaches we are experts in teaching children to ride.

Developing the riders CONFIDENCE is at the heart of what we do.
Whether you’re new to it all, or riding well already, this is the session for you!

Ferryhill Kids – Friday Fun!

Description: Friday Fun is for toddlers to pre-school. It’s a volunteer-led group so please come along, help set up and chat to other parents/carers. Babies are welcome too, just ask for some of the baby toys/equipment.
Session is £3 and snack is included for your child (please let the volunteers on the day know of any allergies). This is a drop in group so no need to book in advance or block book.

Baby Carrier / Wrap Drop In Session – Inverurie

Description: We’re delighted to be able to hold a Baby Carrier Drop In Session every month in Inverurie
Feel free to bring your stretchy wrap from the Scottish Baby Box as we’d love to give you a hand.
There will be trained baby carrying advice from Jess Hippey, owner of Close and Calm, and a large selection of carriers and wraps available for trying and for hiring. Should you wish to go on to buy a carrier after this, please inform Jess as discount codes are available for customers.
We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees. Children are always welcome.
We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter present at most meetings.
We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch and look forward to meeting you. Our hope is to try and build an informative and supportive community so the more the merrier.
You’re also always welcome to bring your own carriers for help too.
