The Code Factory

Description:  Immerse yourself into the digital world as we build, program and play with robots in our interactive and engaging workshops.

Try our Robotplayground! Want to programme your very own robot? Using iPads and the latest Lego robot kits, put your programming skills to the test. Make and play with anything, from a glowing snail to a spying robot! The only limit is your imagination…

Take part in our Lego Rescue Challenge, A meteor shower is inbound on ASC’s moon base. Our astronauts are stranded.
Can you save them? Work as a team to programme our Lego Mindstorm rovers in this family challenge. But hurry! Time is running out and the storm could hit at any second!

Visit the Jam Sandwich Factory – Our top ASC engineers have built the perfect jam sandwich-making robot. The only problem is, it doesn’t work yet.
We need your help to control our brand-new Dash Wonder Bots to make this amazing technology a reality. Are you up to the challenge?

Sit down and interact with The Very Hungry Code-a-Pillar. These playful robots are the perfect way to introduce little explorers to the wonders of coding. We combine play with the timeless tale of ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ to bring the digital world to life.

Easter at Bon Accord

Coffee Morning raising funds for Charlie House

Description: Rory’s Runners & Rider are a team of 16 who are taking on the Balmoral 10k (with 2 running the 15 miler) to raise funds for Charlie House. “The Rider”, Hazel, can’t run as she is cycling 66 miles for Etape Loch Ness but is also keen to fundraise for such a good cause!

We’ve organised a coffee morning in Insch, with stalls from some wonderful local small businesses and homebakes by Kerry’s Katering plus some fantastic prizes to be won. Please come along and support our team and this wonderful charity!

Old Torry: the Lost Villages (Mini Tour)

Description: A mini-tour set in Torry covering almost eight centuries of history in one hour!

Short section from the full-length Torry tour, starting at old St Fittick’s Kirk which was built in the 13th century, and following a direct line over the Balnagask Motte, down Baxter Street and into the site of the Victorian fisher village.  Includes tales of the Davidsons, last lairds of Torry; the Dee Ferry Disaster and the medieval fisher village of Lower Torry which disappeared in 1876 due to harbour developments.
