Review | Chad Valley Play Chef Toy Kitchen

As part of the Chad Valley Play Panel S was kindly sent the Chad Valley Play Chef Toy Kitchen to try out and review. The play kitchen is aimed at children ages 3+ years old and is currently priced at £44.99 over on Argos.

Easy to follow instructions

The instructions for building the kitchen were straight forward and it took me around 30 minutes to build the kitchen – including adding the stickers, which thankfully there weren’t many of! I built it in the evening when S was sound asleep, otherwise it would probably have taken three times as long as he likes to ‘help’.

Encouraging imaginative play

S was excited as soon as he seen the kitchen built up and waiting for him in the living room – straight away he set off making breakfast for me! His food combinations and creations are questionable at times though but I love hearing what his latest creation is – his latest being “Egg Burger”.

Everything for the budding chef

The kitchen comes with a menu and order notepad, perfect for little ones to role play restaurants. Then they can head back to the kitchen and cook your meal before presenting their creation on the dishes included.

The kitchen comes with a selection of accessories including cutlery, pots and pans, plates, bowls and range of food items.

The multi-functional kitchen includes lights and cooking sounds so they can imagine the fire on the hob sizzling away and the ping of the oven to know the meal is ready.

Hours of fun

I love watching S develop through imaginative play and this toy kitchen is a great addition to his play corner. You can usually hear him chatting away in the corner acting out stories with his toys – including cooking and serving meals to his soft toys and dolls.
