Dragados UK, principal contractor for the Aberdeen Expansion Project, are delighted to join the TechFest 2018 by opening the doors of our project Visitor Centre.

The Aberdeen Harbour Expansion Project Visitor Centre affords the general public from the North East of Scotland the opportunity to gain an insight into one of the most ambitious marine engineering projects in Scotland for many decades.

You will be able to learn about the background of the development, the different construction activities underway, the environmental protection measures being deployed, and some of the history of the area. Furthermore, the Visitor Centre offers the opportunity to see real-time works from a privileged position.

Hillside School Fundraising Family Fun Day

Our friendly volunteers are on hand for advice and help during the sale, if you have a shopping list ask a volunteer to point you in the right direction.

We will lend you a shopping bag to collect your goodies in then have a one stop checkout with chip and pin facilities, also a reclaim area where large bulky items can be safely left whilst you continue to shop.

Cots, toys, highchairs, walkers, puzzles, bouncy chairs, bikes, ride on’s, bumbo’s, stair gates, more toys, books, DVD’s, computer games, curtains, lampshades, bedding, maternity equipment & clothing, dressing up clothes, more toys, moses baskets, prams, slings, re-useable nappies, clothes carefully displayed from newborn up to approx 10 years, scooters, carriers, playmats, bouncy chairs, jumperoo’s, travel cots, kids furniture – all dependant on what our sellers decide to bring! We can’t sell baby car seats or non PAT tested items that require a plug.

Our sales are 100% powered by volunteers and a % of the takings goes back into the NCT the UK’s largest parenting charity to support work locally and nationally.

Championship Tractor Pull 2018

Description: The Scottish Championship Tractor Pull returns to BA Stores, Dunecht, Aberdeenshire on the 15th and 16th of September.

This year we host the final British Points round for Super Farm, Limited Prostock, Super Sport AND Light Modifieds!! Plus guest pullers!

Pulling starts at 5pm on Saturday the 15th with the final British Points rounds plus fireworks show to finish the night. Sunday the 16th sees the final points round of the Scottish Championship from 12pm onwards.

On site camping facilities are available for the weekend with excellent toilet and shower facilities.

In Town Without Your Car Day and European Mobility week are supported by the GetAbout partnership which includes Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils plus NESTRANS, NHS, Energy Saving Trust, RGU, University of Aberdeen and NESCOL, and aims to promote sustainable transport in the North East of Scotland.

In Town Without My Car Day is free to attend and everyone is welcome.
