MummyMimi.co.uk is 4! | Little update and time for a mini break

Last month, Wednesday 19th February, marked 4 years since my very first blog post on mummymimi.co.uk 🙂 A lot has changed since then and I would like to thank anyone who follows my social media pages, reads the blog posts and shares our posts.

Since I first set up this blog over 340 blog posts have been published, 178 of which are the weekly ‘What’s On’ posts.

The last 6+ months since S started school has been a constant juggle between various schedules – working full time, school and before/after school childcare, co-parenting etc.

All this has meant other things have had to take priority and bar one week I have still managed to keep up with the weekly ‘What’s on’ post – this post alone takes several hours to put together depending on how many events are on.

I’ve decided for March to take a step back from the ‘What’s On’ post and have a little bit of a blogging break to focus on other things – S, our routine, self care etc. In the meantime the events calendar at mummymimi.co.uk/events will continue to be updated regularly.

The weekly listings will be back in time for the Easter Holidays and I have many ideas on how I would like to develop the site, lots of half written blog posts but with everything in life these require time!

If there is anything you would like to see on the website, social media or YouTube (local activities, reviews, day trips, daily life etc) let me know by commenting below (or over on Facebook & Instagram) – suggestions and ideas are always welcome!

Thanks for reading!

Mimi 🙂

  1. Happy Blog Birthday ?. It has been a very busy time for you both! It definitely is a struggle to try and get everything done at home, child care, work and try and run a blog. Self care does end up being way, way down that list of priorities and is probably further down the list than scrubbing the kitchen floor with a toothbrush or cutting the grass with scissors. Enjoy your break and let’s have a catch up soon ? xx
