Saturday 24th September 2016
The day started of with a trip into town to check out the Thistle Street food market and pop to a couple of shops.
I picked up these salted caramel marshmallows from Marshmology‘s stall which I will be saving for an evening treat this week to have with a nice cup of hot chocolate!
S was getting sleepy so I knew he would fall asleep on the drive home so I popped in past Cup’s new West End takeaway shop to pick up a coffee for when I would end up sitting in the car whilst he slept. There cakes looked amazing – will have to pick up some next time I’m in!
After S’ nap and lunch we headed to the Scottish Home Show to have a look around and pick up some home inspiration.
Here are some of my favourite picks:
Steven Burgess – Fine Furniture
Nina’s Apartment – Loved this chrome light fitting!
Craig’s of Ayrshire – Had some lovely Harris Tweet items to add the finishing touches to your home
Touchwood – had some quirky wooden pieces. I loved the ducks with the mini hunter wellies!
Classic Abode Garden & Landscaping – created a lovely upcycled garden display, I just wish we had a garden we could do something with!
Jamie Cameron’s illustrations were amazing and these detailed sculptures would make a lovely focus point in any room.
Cakes By Design from Coffee, Cake & Mohr
My friend picked one of the strawberry tarts and I look home slices of chocolate cake and carrot cake.
Annie Mo’s Christmassy display was my favourite and has definitely got me in the mood for Christmas planning!
Sunday 25th September 2016
Daddy was working the early shift, so we had a quiet morning with a drive to try and convince S to nap a bit earlier than normal as we then headed to the football for 1pm.
Football with a toddler is definitely hard work, it was easier to take him when he was younger before he could move around so much! He was meant to be sitting on my knee but did not want to just sit and watch the match for the majority of the game.
Thankfully the Kidloland app on my phone saved the day during the second half when he had had enough so he sat on Grandad’s knee watching nursery rhyme videos.
Aberdeen won 2-1 which made taking S worth it! By the time of the last minute goal we were standing at the side with S on my back in our trusty Toddler Connecta carrier and thankfully managed to see the goal.
After the football and Daddy was home from work, Granny & Grandad A popped in past for a visit.
Later on we headed round to Granny & Grandad M’s for Dominos Pizza and Birthday cake to celebrate Mummy’s birthday.
So that was our weekend in photos, did you get up to much? Let us know in the comments below or over on our Facebook page!
Sounds like a jam packed weekend! The Scottish home show looked really good – it’s too bad I missed it
There was lots of lovely home inspiration! Can’t wait to decorate for Christmas now after Annie Mo’s fab stand!
