The most wonderful time of year is nearly upon us, and we are bringing you all the festive feels right here in the heart of Aberdeen city centre! From glittering Christmas lights and ice skating to our local Christmas in The Quad market and festive attractions, Aberdeen will be transformed into a winter wonderland.
The Aberdeen Christmas Village will return to Broad Street from 21st November – 31st December 2019. Including an open-air ice rink with the beautiful backdrop of Marischal College, a selection of fairground rides and attractions, festival food and drink, Santa’s Grotto and our popular Christmas in the Quad market, there is something for everyone to enjoy this Christmas in Aberdeen city centre.

Festive Silent Disco Walking Tour

Description: IT’S CHRISTMAAAAAAAAS – and what better way to get in the festive mood, than to sing and dance through the Christmas Village with the city’s first festive silent disco walking tour!
This winter, Friends of ANCHOR is the chosen charity of the Christmas Village.
Every weekend, we will be bringing back the old fashioned tradition of carol singing… with a modern twist!
The 30-minute silent disco adventure tour will take place every hour, on the hour, on Fridays from 5pm to 9pm inclusive, Saturdays 2pm to 8pm inclusive and Sundays 1pm to 5pm inclusive.
Gather together your family, friends or workmates and grab one of our headsets to rock around every Christmas tree! Celebrating the festivities in style, you’ll join your tour guide from the famous Silent Adventures – the team who brought you this year’s Edinburgh Fringe silent disco.
Let the tempo build with a half hour of hand-picked festive tunes to get you in the spirit as you dance your way around the Christmas village and the winter wonderland of the Marischal College quad and Square.*
With all profits going directly to Friends of ANCHOR as a local charity, your festive party will also benefit a great cause.
Running from Friday 22nd November to Sunday 22nd December.
Tickets will be available at Aberdeen Christmas Village or can be pre-booked by emailing info@friendsofanchor.org. Email pre-booking will close each Thursday at 12pm for the coming weekend. From then, tickets will be available to purchase on the day, from the Christmas Village bar area.
Ticket prices are, £10 per adult, £7.50 per child (aged 5-12) or £25 for a family of four (two adults and two children).
Unfortunately we cannot control the North-east weather and regret that refunds will not be available if the event is cancelled due to poor weather. If this does happen, your generosity will be treated as a kind donation to the charity.
Please note this attraction is recommended for children over the age of five. Buggies and pushchairs will not be permitted. Babes in arms are welcome.

Car
If you are driving here by car, the two entry points are Dyce Drive and the A96 southbound only (heading to the city centre), as other points are bus gates only. On exit you may exit via any three points at Dyce Drive, A96 and Wellheads Drive. You can park either in the Sub-T (underground) or the overground car park.
Parking
We recommend reverse parking for ease on exit.

On site payment machines: We accept both cash and card payments on site, pay on exit is required by entering your vehicle registration at any one of our machines located in the car parks.
APCOA Connect App: Up to 1 hour after you have left the venue, you can pay for your parking on the APCOA Connect App. Once you have downloaded the app, use location code 6680 for the Sub-T Car Park (underground) and location code 2356 for the Overground Car Park.

We will lend you a shopping bag to collect your goodies in then have a one stop checkout with chip and pin facilities, also a reclaim area where large bulky items can be safely left whilst you continue to shop.
Cosy winter jackets, snowsuits, snow boots, cots, toys, highchairs, walkers, puzzles, bouncy chairs, bikes, ride on’s, bumbo’s, stair gates, more toys, books, DVD’s, lego, play kitchens, computer games, curtains, lampshades, bedding, maternity equipment & clothing, dressing up clothes, play work stations, more toys, moses baskets, prams, slings, re-useable nappies, clothes carefully displayed from newborn up to approx 10 years, scooters, strollers, carriers, playmats, bouncy chairs, jumperoo’s, travel cots, kids furniture – all dependant on what our sellers decide to bring!
Our sales are 100% powered by volunteers and a % of the takings goes back into the NCT the UK’s largest parenting charity to support work locally and nationally.

We aim on having a large choice of activities to keep children occupied whilst you grab some last minute gift ideas.
All money raised goes towards the Aberchirder Parent Council which helps fund Christmas parties, discos, school assembly presentation gifts, school trips and so much more.
