Linton & Mac is a stylish hair salon situated on Netherkirkgate and at the start of the month they threw a party to celebrate the salon’s first birthday. After responding to an open invite they had posted online I headed along with a friend to check it out!
The salons co-founders Jennifer Linton and Joanna MacDonald opened the salon to create a unique experience in the city centre. Since then they have been nominated for numerous awards and picked up the award for 2016 Best Business at the Scottish Business awards at the end of August.
During their speech you could really see how passionate they were about the salon they created as well as how proud they were of their achievements and their team – and rightly so!
They have a fab range on offer covering hair, nails and make-up, including their style bar service where you can have your hair styled in 30 minutes and for £25 – perfect for a night out or a special occasion!
There was sweet treats around the salon including this amazing flying saucer creation and cupcakes with a hidden biscuit base!
There was also a gin bar featuring Porters Gin seasoned with black pepper and strawberries.
I will definitely be heading back in the future – I think the style bar and make-up services would be perfect for getting ready for a night out with the girls!
