Watch skilled traditional craftsmen and women carve, weave, knit and sculpt wonderful creations, many of which you can take home as a reminder of the wonder of Portsoy and its authentic charm.

Portsoy 10k and Fun Run

Description: 2km fun run

The 2km fun run starts at 10.00am and new for this year will be timed. The route starts at the Recreation Park, goes around Portsoy then down into the harbour and finishes at the Shore Inn.

10km road run

The 10km road run starts at 10.30am. The route starts at the Recreation Park, it then heads west towards Sandend and turns inland to climb up the long but easy Durn Hill, down past Damheads before turning left onto the Huntly Road. One more diversion takes the run past Durn Cottages, Durn Farm and Durn House before turning left onto the Banff Road and heading into Portsoy, once in Portsoy you will turn right onto the route of the old railway track to the harbour finishing at the Shore Inn.

Baby Carrier Drop In Session – Bridge of Don

Feel free to bring your stretchy wrap from the Scottish Baby Box as we’d love to give you a hand.

There will be trained baby carrying advice from Jess Hippey, owner of Close and Calm, and a large selection of carriers and wraps available for trying and for hiring. Should you wish to go on to buy a carrier after this, please inform Jess as discount codes are available for customers.

We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees. Children are always welcome.

We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter present at most meetings.

We’re a friendly, welcoming bunch and look forward to meeting you. Our hope is to try and build an informative and supportive community so the more the merrier.

There will be a variety of stalls set up in our newly refurbished back yard and in the hut itself. The scouts will be running stalls as well as others such as Glendale Crafts, Marty Melts and Pink Rose.

We will also be free on the day to speak to anyone who is interested in joining the scout group.

Donations of tombola prizes and home bakes will be gratefully received. We also require some adult helpers if anyone is available.

Highland Hustle is a really fun, sociable way to work out.  It’s based on highland and ceilidh dancing, but is set to fab, modern music and is suitable for all fitness levels and ages.  No dance experience is required – two left feet welcome!

The event has been organised to help the Sand Bothy raise funds to buy a HIPPOCAMPE wheelchair which will allow disabled children to access Balmedie Beach.  We are so lucky to have such a beautiful beach on our doorstep, and it would be fantastic if we could help make it more accessible for all.

The event starts at 2pm, with a family-friendly Highland Hustle workout, then there will be the chance to have refreshments and delicious home bakes (all included in the ticket price).

A yoga class especially for new mums and babies from 8 weeks upwards to not yet crawling. The class includes lots of lovely postures for both you and your baby. It’s a great way to bond with your baby and meet other mums in a relaxed environment. The class has some clothed baby massage and baby yoga which help your baby to sleep and really helps with digestion and requires no previous experience. You just need yourself and baby in comfortable clothes, a blanket and a mat if you have one. The class will begin at 10.10am Wednesday and cost £6 per class. Feel free to stop to breastfeed, bottle feed and change nappies anytime during class. The class runs for 45 minutes and afterwards the mums pop down for coffee and lovely cake.

We will charge a £2 entry fee to cover room hire, insurance and professional fees. Children are always welcome.

We’re very lucky to also have a breastfeeding peer supporter present at most meetings.

Engineering Club

Cash For Kids Charity Football Match, Northsound 1 500 Faces 

Where: Sunnybank Football club

Description: My name is Graham Watt and I’m one of the Northsound 500 faces . I have organised a charity football match to be held at Sunnybank FC’s ground on June the 3rd of this year, 2-5pm.

We have names such as Darren Mackie, Robbie Winters, Mark Perry, Jason Dair, Barry Wilson, Scott Thomson, Derek and Darren Young, Stuart Duff, Hugh Robertson, Chris Clark, Andy Roddie and the Aberdeen Assassin, Lee William Mcallister, all involved. We also have former Scotland manager Craig Brown along with Dons legend Joe Harper as mangers for the day.

We have gained a lot of sponsors for the event too, Sunnybank FC have kindly donated their pitch for the day and Soccer World have got all the kits sorted for us, The Undergorund Klub have also helped towards the kit sponsorship. Dave Cormack has kindly donated £1000 to the charity through the match and is backing the game along with all these former pros and stars of the SPL. We also have John McRuvie and Cammy Cambell hosting it for us on the day. John Luckins of Tall & Small Entertainment will be providing music and Aberdeen Trophy Centre have provided the trophies and medals for the day. Stephen Dobson will also be joining us on the day in order to take photographs of the event.

Everybody has been very helpful and generous so thank you to all the sponsors / supporters so far!!

We’d love it if you could come and enjoy the day with us! It’s free entry on the day, all we ask for is that people put some spare change in the donation buckets. We want this to be a fun, family day as it’s for Cash For Kids.
