Aldi Baby & Toddler Event Shopping Haul

Thursday’s special buys this week were baby & toddler items. On Friday, armed with a list A & S headed down to our local store to see what was still in stock.

They managed to pick most of the items we were looking for (although there were no sleepsuits left in the next size for S)

Here’s what they picked up:

Nuby Meal Time Kit – £4.99

We were needing a few more trays and plates for S so thought this was a perfect set. It also came with a handy bag for either storing them in or to use for taking food out and about, which is what we will use it for.

Scuttle Bug – £19.99

S had previously had a go of a friends scuttle bug on a play date so we decided to pick one up for him to scoot around on at the park. He’s already had a go round the living room but the space is limited so looking forward to trying it outside

Peppa Pig soft play ball – £1.49

There was a variety of different soft play balls and this is the one S choose for himself

Clock book – £1.99

S loves clocks or Cuckcoo’s as he calls them after Granny’s Cuckcoo clock so we just had to get this!

Mamia Sensitive baby wipes (box of 12 packs) – £5.99

Perfect time to stock up on some wipes as our current box was looking low on packets!

Munchkin Nappy Changing Kit – £9.99

We have a Babymel travel changing mat which came with our changing bag but we appear to have lost it somewhere so I was looking for a replacement. As we are often switching between bags this will make it easier to make sure we have everything we need as well as a changing mat.

Did you visit the Aldi baby & toddler event, if so what bargains did you pick up?

Our Weekend in Photos (16-18 Apr 16)

Our weekend in photos, 16th – 18th April 2016…

Saturday:

  • Daddy was working Saturday morning but me & S went to Harvester’s for breakfast with Granny, Grandad & Uncle R.
  • The weather was miserable so after getting a couple car bulbs fitted at Halford’s, me & S snuggled up under a blanked and chilled out in front of the TV… I think he lasted all of 5 minutes watching Monsters University!
  • Saturday night is pizza night and also picked up a couple of the new Rekorderlig cider cocktails.

Sunday:

  • Mummy had to head of to London ahead of a course for work on Monday
  • Daddy & S headed up to Granny & Grandad W’s for a visit.

Monday (not technically the weekend but it was a local holiday):

  • Navigating through rush hour London & far to warm on the tube for me!
  • Daddy & S spent the day with Granny & Grandad W.
  • Home time for Mummy & got home to see my boys at 10pm

Zara Boys Wish List

0

As S has recently reached 18 months and with some of his 12-18 month clothes starting to get a bit tight I think it’s time to update his wardrobe. To be honest I’ve never really shopped in Zara, but I’ve heard loads of good reviews so decided to check out their website.

Here are a few items I’m thinking of ordering for S:

  1. Star Top £4.99
  2. Trousers with Pockets £9.99
  3. Sneakers £17.99
  4. Superman Sweatshirt £12.99
  5. Stripped T-Shirts £2.99 each
  6. Drawstring Trousers £9.99
  7. Tiger Sweatshirt £8.99
  8. Cat Top £4.99
  9. Letter Print Leggings £6.99
  10. Contrast High Top Sneakers £17.99

I’ve always had the impression that Zara was a pricier shop but I think these prices are reasonable for kids clothing.

Do you have any recommendations of shops to check out for boys clothing? If so please leave a comment below as I’m always on the look out for new places to try.

Our Weekend in Photos (9-10 April 16)

Saturday:

  • Coffee catchup & a walk along the beach with S & my friend
  • Afternoon tea & Birthday to celebrate Grandad’s birthday
  • Night in with S

Sunday:

  • Sunday brunch
  • Play date with the Anti Natal Mums & Toddlers (didn’t get any photos of just S)
  • Shellac nails
  • Brownie & coffee whilst S naps

April 2016 Goals

0

Drink more water

I really need to work on this to help fight off the daily headaches, to help with this I have purchased a motivational water bottle from HydrateM8, which has times on it so I can keep on track with my water intake for the day.

Complete an April Photo Challenge

I am going to take part in Fat Mum Slim’s  April 2016 photo challenge, you can find my photos on my Instagram page. (Will also post a weekly round up here)

I am behind (already!) on my 2016 goal of reading a book a month this year, currently I have finished one and started two others. I’m aiming to read at least 12 this year so I need to get a move on!

Blog More

With changes in work and family life recently our routine has taken a bit of a hit so I’m aiming to get into a better routine in April and get this blog up and running properly! (Any tips and advice welcome!)

Write up a list of 35 things to do before I’m 35

I was planning on making a 30 before 30 list but given I’m 30 in less than 3 years I’d rather create a longer list & timeframe. Any suggestions (realistic ones) welcome.
